Our process

Five steps from eligibility check to money in your account.

Every claim follows the same sequence. No surprises, no hidden fees, and no work required from you beyond what’s listed below.

  1. 1

    Eligibility check

Timeline: Response within one business day

    What we do
Research your foreclosure, confirm the surplus amount with the court, and verify your claim position.
    What you do
Spend 60 seconds filling out the eligibility form with basic details: name, state, county, and contact information.
    What happens next
A clear yes-or-no answer about whether there's money to claim, and how much.
  2. 2

    Case research & documentation

    Timeline: 3–10 business days

    What we do
Pull the public records, confirm the surplus balance, identify all rightful claimants, and prepare the claim documents.
    What you do
Provide ID, proof of prior ownership, and — if relevant — documentation of heirship, divorce, or other claim-relevant paperwork. We tell you exactly what's needed.
    What happens next
A complete, reviewable claim package ready for attorney signature.
  3. 3

    Attorney review & filing

Timeline: Filing typically within 1–3 business days of your signature

    What we do
Anthony reviews and supervises the claim documents before filing with the appropriate court or treasury, including any notice required by state law.
    What you do
Sign the retainer and claim authorization. Everything else is on us.
    What happens next
A filed, recorded claim in the court system with a case number you can reference.
  4. 4

    Hearing & court release

Timeline: 30–120 days depending on state and court backlog

    What we do
Handle all court communications, respond to court requests, and — if required — appear at any hearing on your behalf.
    What you do
Stay reachable. Answer the phone if we call. That's it.
    What happens next
A court order releasing the surplus funds in your name.
  5. 5

    Funds delivered

Timeline: 1–2 weeks after court order

    What we do
Receive the court disbursement, deduct our disclosed fee, and wire or mail the remainder to you.
    What you do
Receive the money and decide what to do with it.
    What happens next
    Money in your account.
